GENDERCHILL Gender Justice Fashion Show - Volunteer Opportunity

GenderChill will invite participants to donate to local, QTPOC-led, non-profit organization, Reflect Collective. In a country where in 2021 at least 57 transgender and non binary, mostly Black and Latine, people were murdered, we are committed to changing that through consciousness-raising and appreciation for diverse gender expressions and bodies.

GenderChill will provide a spectacular experience to empower queerness, support transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming people, and to celebrate bodies that have been socially constructed as atypical, of all colors, shapes, sizes and abilities. This production will spotlight the importance of intersectionality, combat negative or defamatory stereotypes, and educate our local South Florida community around issues related to gender identity and expression, and the priceless value of diversity.

The event features student and community fashion designers, make-up artists, stylists, models, performers, and guest speakers, as well as local and national advocates. Awareness-building educational materials and resources will be included and infused through-out all event programming.

PRISM will be tabling at GENDERCHILL. We are looking for two (2) to four (4) volunteers with our outreach efforts. Volunteers are asked to assist to set-up, informing attendees about PRISM initiatives and efforts, handing out gift bags and breakdown. Interested in volunteering with us, please RSVP.
