About the Event

The Miami-Dade School Board has proposed item H-7, which would ban any flag deemed "controversial" on school campuses. We know what that really means: in another unnecessary attack on queer visibility, pride flags would be wiped from our schools.

Markers of visibility like pride flags show students that their classrooms are safe spaces for them to learn. H-7 silences students, parents, and teachers and enforces the same bigotry we have seen from the Miami-Dade School Board again and again.

Click here to write a letter to the Miami Dade School Board. For every letter sent with this tool, PRISM will mail one pride flag to each school board member.

Make your voice heard so MDCPS knows that this item is out of step with the people of Miami.
