About the Event
Palm Beach County is one of the most diverse communities in the state—but recent actions by the School Board threaten to dismantle policies that protect and uplift that very diversity. The rollback of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives doesn’t just impact students; it sends a harmful message to families, educators, and small businesses about whose voices and experiences matter.
Ahead of the May 28 School Board Workshop, we’re hosting an advocacy training focused on how to effectively engage with the Board and push for the reinstatement of DEI protections. This School Board 101-style session will walk you through:
Who the board members are and how decisions get made
How to sign up and speak at a meeting
How to craft compelling, values-based public testimony
Ways to stay involved beyond one meeting
