About the Event
Kicking off National Banned Book Week, this free event features GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Joanie Leeds, whose album FREADOM features songs inspired by children’s books banned in the state of Florida. In addition to a live musical performance, guests will enjoy live readings of banned children’s book titles, banned books will be available for sale, and families can participate in social actions to address educational censorship.
As a partnered organization, PRISM will be tabling, providing educational and sexual health/harm reduction resources from 4PM - 5PM.
Volunteers are asked to support with set-up, educate the public on PRISM and our efforts, request sign-ups to PRISM's Newsletter and breakdown. In coordination with Yes on 4, PRISM volunteers are also asked to support getting Pledge to Vote cards signed and educating the public on Amendment 4.Â
