PRISM dedicates its resources to providing a safe space for all youth. Regardless of volunteer status youth ages 14-17 may attend PRISM's Youth Support Group for the help that they need. Youth Program Managers manage PRISM's Youth Support Group and help aid each participant to the best of their abilities. Youth Program Managers do not receive a paycheck, but they do receive the satisfaction that they are helping an organization for LGBT youth. There is potential for a paid position in the future.
Youth Program Managers have the following responsibilities:
Coordinate Youth Support Group meetings
Maintain consistent communication with PRISM Panel Management to ensure the flow of the support group
Coordinate support groups and volunteer support resources
Maintain logs for PRISM's SOGI Data
Youth Program Managers are preferred to have the following abilities and experience:
Conflict resolution
Ability to maintain a calm, level-headed demeanor
Experience with Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc)
Experience with mental health resources
Experience with support group coordination
Experience with LGBT issues
Experience with youth services
Education in the psychological fields
