About the Event
SNEP’s goal is to provide empowering educational materials and content to classroom teachers and school administrators. SNEP shares best practices and information on developing curriculum and policies to educate children and young people about LGBTQ history. Over its ten years, we have created a national network of professionals who are committed to presenting positive images of LGBTQ individuals, and finding ways to eliminate barriers to a quality education and purposeful life for young people. SNEP advocates for the safety, inclusion, and value of LGBTQ students, with a focus on improving student achievement, attendance, and graduation rates.
SNEP has connected thousands of educational professionals which in turn has impacted the lives of millions of LGBTQ youth and their classmates from major cities to small towns across the nation. Material from our activities has informed inclusive lesson plans, progressive social programs, and unambiguous School Board policies regarding LGBTQ youth. Our work is yearround and always available.
Check out the SNEP Program for the most updated schedule.
