Comedy writers take the necessary information and compose comedic scripts for our educational video content. Candidates local to Broward, Miami-Dade, or Palm Beach are strongly preferred. Pay : $30 per script (may vary by project) Responsibilities: Research and gather information about proposed topics Convey educational topics in a comedic format for our viewers Complete tasks in a timely manner Maintain the accuracy of information provided through peer editing and continuous review of published resources Qualifications: Experience working in a collaborative creative environment Must have comedic writing skills Experience creating or participating in video content for social media (Preferred) South Florida resident (Preferred) Have an understanding of pop culture While not required, it is preferred that Writers have prior exposure to information regarding one or more of the following : Sexual health LGBTQ+ issues Racial equity Black history/culture LatinX history/culture Asian history/culture LGBTQ+ history PRISM is an Equal Opportunity Employer. PRISM uses Discord as a social platform for youth, volunteers, and our support groups. Discord moderators are responsible for ensuring that Discord rules are being followed and the content is safe for participants. Discord Moderators do not receive a paycheck, but they do receive the satisfaction that they are helping an organization for LGBT youth. There is potential for a paid position in the future. Content Creators work within the Content Creation Task Force to develop creative, relatable, and informative social media content that amplifies PRISM’s campaigns and initiatives. Candidates local to Broward, Miami-Dade, or Palm Beach are strongly preferred. Pay: Rates vary depending on the complexity of video content. Responsibilities: Create engaging content for PRISM’s social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and other digital channels Collaborate with the Content Creation team to develop campaign concepts and storytelling approaches Transform trending formats, sounds, or ideas into content aligned with PRISM’s mission and campaigns Maintain clear communication with team leads to meet deadlines effectively Complete at least 4 pieces of content per month Qualifications: Experience creating social media content for personal platforms, organizations, or brands Strong understanding of current social media trends and youth culture Comfortable filming and producing short-form video content Ability to communicate complex topics in an accessible and engaging way Exposure to LGBTQ+ issues, BIPOC and LatinX history, or sexual health Strong on-camera presence, as many pieces of content involve direct-to-camera storytelling or educational messaging Actively online and able to translate internet culture and trends into meaningful content for PRISM Experience writing scripts and/or editing videos is preferred Content Creators are welcome to include work created for PRISM in their personal portfolios.
